Organic Coconut Oil Chocolates

Silver Feedback Medal for All Time! 290 Feedbacks

Organic Coconut Oil ChocolatesThese are the best chocolates I have ever had. This recipe is organic and free of genetically modified ingredients. I use cacao powder, not to be confused with cocoa, real maple syrup that has to be refrigerated and coconut oil. The commercially made syrups are full of high fructose corn syrup and some maple flavoring.

I buy a lot of food online through vitacost.com.

Honey, you ain't just whistlin' Dixie. Those things have got to be delicious...and so easy! Hope I can find cacao powder because I sure do intend to make these.

Is coconut an option if I grate fresh, myself?

The next time I make more chocolates, I was seriously thinking of adding some organic grated coconut, even before I read your comment. If I didn't stop my family, they would all be eaten up right away.

What happens if you use cocoa powder instead? And honey instead of maple?

You could substitute cocoa powder, but then the recipe wouldn't be organic. I never tried honey, but if you decide to use honey I would use the kind raised locally.

Most honey sold in the dollar stores and the supermarkets is not real but fake.
