Use Plastic Bin for Kid's Gift Wrap
My daughter in law has been going through the granddaughter's toys and arranging them by type, like Barbie's, etc. She purchased some plastic bins of different sizes for this task.

Creating a School Year Folder
Years ago when my kids started school every year I took a picture of each of them the first day of school. I taped the picture to a large manila folder. I wrote on the outside the teachers name, school and who were the friends at that time.

Toy Wagon for Child's Shoe Storage
A small child's wagon, either metal or plastic, makes for great shoe storage container by a front or back door, or even in the child's bedroom. This way it's easy to put shoes away, and keeps them centrally located and easy to find when you're rushing out the door.

Clear Candy Tubes for Small Toy Storage
A great way to organize and re-cycle while doing so. Those long clear tubes that candy (ex. M & M's) comes in provide great storage for small toy pieces and can make them more readily available for your child's play time.

Organizing Toy Cars and Trains
First go to any discount store and purchase see through fishing tackle type boxes of various sizes and place your child's toy trains, or hot wheel cars in them. Most of these have removable slots so you can easily customize yours if you are like me and have small trains and larger ones with tenders.

Storing Large Toys
Does anyone know of a better way to store large play toys (walker for babies, etc.)? I put them in big plastic bags in the garage but they just tear and then get all dirty. Any suggestions?

Organizing Children's Artwork
I have two preschoolers who bring home lots of artwork and make their own creations at home. While their projects are my favorite, we've accumulated boxes of their paperwork that we don't look at or use. One afternoon, I spent a few hours photographing everything they did, downloading the photos to our computer, and uploading them to an online photo service to share with the grandparents.

Hang Pegboard for Playroom Organization
I was having trouble in my daughters' toy room. Their things were always on the floor. So, I installed "peg board", as used in the garage, etc. I painted it purple and pink to match their room.

Take Outfit Photos So Kids Can Match Clothes
My 4 and 5 year olds pick out their own school clothes after I used this tip and are always in matching outfits. Before school started this year, we played model and took a photo of them in each outfit. Now they just look for the outfit they want in their albums and know what they can wear with what.
