Safety Pin Socks Together Before Washing
I use safety pins to keep socks together when washing. No more losing one sock. I also put a color stripe on sock so I know whose is whose.

Rewash Unmatched Socks to Find Mates
I do a lot of laundry. When I discover the unmatched socks, they go into a small basket nearby. The next time I run the white load through (or the color load for colored socks), I add the mismatched socks to it.

Keep a Sock Bag for Mismatched Socks
We're constantly losing one sock in a pair. I started keeping unmatched socks in a bag as I put laundry away. Every time I'm putting a load of laundry away, I check the unmatched sock bag in case I can find a sock to match the "new" unmatched socks.

Have a Laundry Basket for Each Person
When taking dry clothes off the washing line have a basket for each person (either with their name written on the wash basket or a different colour). When you take the baskets in, each person is responsible for putting their clothes away.

Storing Dry Laundry Detergent
I store my dry laundry detergent in a plastic bin that has a tight fitting lid. This keeps the powder grainy and loose, so there is never any clumping.

Laundry Table Top
My husband and I just purchased and had delivered a new front load washer and dryer. We have 4 children and us in the house and all of us (yes the kids do their own laundry) using the washer and dryer.

Using Magnet for Laundry Reminders
I have a favorite magnet, that's really eye catching, that I use it in my laundry room. I usually use liquid fabric softener, so if I need to put dryer sheets in a specific load of laundry, I put the magnet on the washer as a "reminder". It works every time!

Creating a Laundry Schedule
We have 6 people living in our house. This makes it hard to keep everything clean and our laundry done. I have asked each person to do their own laundry on a specific day. We are never waiting for someone to get done and are not stressed about it.

Tie A Knot In "Bad" Socks
When doing laundry, often we get socks that have gone bad and need to be tossed. Yet, it seems like they always wind up back in laundry. So, when I come across a sock that needs to be thrown out, I tie a knot in it. No more worries: see a knot toss it away, it is matchless or bad.

Laundry Sorter for Each Family Member
I bought laundry baskets for each member of the family. These baskets have three compartments and is on a frame that rolls. Every time an item of clothing is put into the basket, it is put into it's correct spot, so when it is filled the laundry is already sorted. Each compartment holds one load of laundry so you also know when it's time to do laundry.
