I made a memory quilt of my son. I cut out pieces of some of his tee shirts, and also transferred pictures of him at different ages and put them on cloth, then put it altogether as a lap quilt.
Invest in a metal trash can to store your perishables in. A 30 gallon size is right for my back porch. Hopefully it will slow down the eating habits of the uninvited creatures!
I put my old or extra telephone books in my car. It's always handy for phone numbers, addresses, most have maps and even coupons. If I have room I put one in my suit case when traveling.
Add a dash of 'white out' to a black electric plug or a 'black marker' to a white plug, and you will always know the correct side to stick it into the wall outlet.
I have started keeping a clean glass Parmesan cheese dispenser by my bathroom and kitchen sink filled with baking soda. Great for a quick scrub for the sink, etc. I also sprinkle it on my toothpaste and sprinkle into my facial cleanser before I apply it.
Instead of using tape or pins to keep you rolls of ribbon from unwinding, I found that rubber bands are easier, quicker and leave no holes or stickiness on the ribbon.
