Reuse Silverware Basket for Tools
I just suggested to a friend who is getting a new dishwasher, that she take the silverware baskets out of the old one, and use for storage of screwdrivers, trowels and such.

Handy Tape Tip
I find this tape very helpful around the house. I am now putting my dishes into new protectors after a party and am labeling each of the holders for the different sets.

Storing Tools in an Apartment
Any ideas on where/how to store "garage type" items (tools, drills, staple gun, spackle, electrical supplies,etc) when you live in an apartment and have no garage?

Household Tool Box
Have your own tool box for in the house. When ever I needed a tool I had to go out to the garage and get one of my husbands. If I forgot to put it back, I heard about it.

Storing Vacuum Tools
When vacuuming, hang the additional vacuuming tools from the vacuum. You can easily put the most commonly used tools in a plastic bag from the grocery store, and tie it on to the main part of the vacuum. This will eliminate going back and forth for your extra tools. By Rosemary from Brewster, MA

Hanging Tools
If you enough wall space, hang shovels and other garden tools upside down on your walls. For smaller tools you can get a peg board that you can mount on your wall and fit with a variety of pegs and hooks and store tools that you need to have handy.

Organize Tools With Fishing Tackle Boxes
Fishing tackle boxes work great for keeping small power tools and their accessories and bits organized. Whenever I see fishing tackle box at a garage sale or rummage sale I grab it. You can uses stencils and spray paint to label the outside of the box.
