Painting a Bathtub

I would like to know how to paint a fiberglass bathtub.

Painting a Bathtub

This is not a DIY project, as it involves heavy chemicals to do it right. For about $350, you can have a company come in and spray it and it will look like new. Check under bathtub refinishers. (12/17/2009)

I did make it a diy projects and it was a lot of work. I had to use Bondo and acrylic resin to get it prepped. A lot of hand sanding. Just be careful which paint you use. Your skin can get irritated if it starts to come off. I personally finished with auto motive paint and a high temp clear marine coat (3 coats!) Honestly, all the work and money, this is better left for the pros!
