- 2 cups flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 4 Tbsp. shortening, melted
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Mix and sift dry ingredients, combine eggs and milk and add dry ingredients, beating until smooth. Add shortening. Preheat griddle to 300 degrees F for 5 minutes before frying.
