Calling All Grandmas! Be a Kindergarten Volunteer
By Debra Frick
Maybe you don't get to see your grandchildren very often or it is just a long distance phone call once or twice a week. Now imagine your self sitting with a child that is struggling with their ABC's and you are helping them. All of a sudden, you see it in their eyes! They got it. You cannot imagine the joy that you will feel in your heart.

Learning Site Using Paper Plates
Unusual Website - I found this really neat website that has great ideas for using paper plates as learning tools for your kids--and these are not simple art projects. I'm thinking someone might be able to take advantage of this for a science fair project or homeschooling.

Multiplication Game With Egg Cartons
Use your egg cartons before you throw them out! When they are empty, write a different number in each space; either 1-12 or 0-11. Then place 2 beans, coins or other small items in them and close the lid.

Small Signs for Learning Vocabulary and Math
I use this to learn more medical words concerning my illness, but I had used this when my daughter was in school. Get index cards blank or lined, colored or plain, and punch a hole in the top depending on how you want them to hang, thread a small piece of yarn thru and tie off.
