Mix and sift flour, salt and baking powder. Cream butter and peanut butter. Add brown sugar slowly while continuing to cream. Add eggs, one at a time, coating after each addition. Combine one Tbsp. instant coffee, milk and vanilla and add alternately with dry ingredients. Stir in peanuts. Spread batter evenly in 2 well-greased 9 inch square pans. Sprinkle with peanut butter or chocolate pieces. Combine one tsp. powdered coffee and sugar and sprinkle over all. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Cool.

Oh, WOW! These sound delicious! I love anything with peanut butter. These are low-fat - right?! (07/03/2008)
Any recipe that contains lots of sugar, shortening, butter/margarine are NOT low fat. (08/11/2008)
