When you get a mosquito bite or a bee/wasp sting, use household ammonia to get rid of the itch or sting. I bought one of the sting "sticks" that they sell and refill it with household ammonia. I keep it with me during the warm months.
I was in the kitchen and saw a wasp flying around. I didn't want to spray bug killer in the house so I took a can of generic cooking spray, and sprayed the bug when it landed on the window.
The bees were so bad, I could not sit on my front porch. A friend of ours gave us this contraption that was a plastic bottle with holes in it, that you hung on a hook. You boil 1 cup sugar and 4 cups water, let cool, then pour the water 1/3 from the bottom.
I have some bees on my front porch that drill holes in the wood overhead that holds the porch cover. The holes are perfectly round and deep, they leave saw dust all over from their drilling.
