Adding a New Dachshund to Our Family
I currently have two nine year old dachshunds (Gabby and Avery). Next month I am somewhat inheriting another dachshund. He is only 6 months old. My boy dog that I already have is very passive and I know he won't mind the new boy, but my girl dog is very aggressive towards other dogs.

Housebreaking Litter Trained Dachshunds
I am having trouble housebreaking my 2 dachshunds, ages 2 and 4. They were litter trained when I lived in an apartment and so they are used to going to the washroom whenever they want. We moved into a new house a few weeks ago and I want them to go outside all the time.

Dachshund Behavior Problems
I have an 8 month old mini-dachshund who still cannot be trusted for very long in the house without urinating somewhere. I have crate trained her, but she still has submissive/excited urination as well as urination done "on purpose" when she is mad at me. Yesterday she actually came up to me and peed on my foot. What does this behavior mean?

Breed Information: Dachshund
By Ellen Brown
Dachshunds come in two sizes, standard and miniature, and three types of coats: smooth-haired, longhaired and wirehaired. The breed is easily distinguished by its low, long muscular body and disproportionately stubby legs-perfect for moving about in the tunnel or den of a badger.

Dog is Too Submissive
I have a 5 year old long-haired dachshund that I rescued last December named Doodad. I know a little about his previous life in a household with 4 other dogs, but what I wasn't told but suspect is that he may have been abused. When I reach down to pet him, he acts like he thinks I am going to hit him and frequently flops down onto his side and squirts out a little urine.

Lonely Daschund
I am the proud owner of a miniature red Dachshund, female, Name: Brandy Alexis. I have noticed that she has lost some of her enthusiasm, she spends a better part of the day by herself (i.e. work) could it be that she is lonely? And if so, what would be a good companion for her?
