Roses Fed with Epsom Salts
This is the view from my kitchen table. Once a month, starting when I notice new growth, I water my roses with 2 TBSP. Epsom Salts to 3 gallons of water. Aren't they beautiful?

Garden with Race Track Straw
We mulch our garden completely with straw that we get from the racetrack in town in the spring when the races are on and the horses are here. This straw is bedding from the horse stalls, so includes natural fertilize (horse manure). It also holds moisture during our hot dry months, and keeps down the weeds.

Upside-Down Tomato Buckets
My husband built this frame work to hold three tomato plants. The grass in the top of the buckets helps hold the moisture in. He cuts it with a scissors. The chains on each side allows him to raise the buckets as needed.

Caged Squash
I've often had trouble finding a squash hidden under all the leaves until it was WAY too big, so this year I put a tomato cage over one squash plant just to see what would happen.
