This amaryllis was a Christmas gift from several years ago. It continues to add beauty to our home each winter. I love giving and receiving Amaryllis bulbs as gifts because they last long past the holiday season.
Garden: Frosty Morning (Hillsboro, OR)
Today was the first deep frost of the year. I thought the ice crystals on the vine maple in our front yard were especially beautiful, particularly as the sun was just starting to hit the leaves.
This is the rose Skylar and Doug brought to the Path Garden gate for me. This is the second time they have brought me flowers, and they also wrote this note. I just wanted to share it with everyone that is interested in The Path Garden.
These lavender roses were a birthday gift from DD. They looked like "Sterling Silver". But they didn't smell like them nor did they open like them.
Another surprise tucked away in the garden today. These look to be wooden dolls, but may be resin. I picked up one and the far hand is missing. So I sat it back and will go look tomorrow and glue them down where they were left, on the ladder.
Garden: Sensational Succulents
As a professional photographer, I enjoy tootling around in my off time, looking for opportunities to photograph just about anything. I recently photographed some succulents from my garden and particularly love this one.
This rose was sold without a name tag for 99 cents, and I just love the color. It was in a box marked "yellow". And since that what I was looking for, I picked out one that looked healthy.
Garden: Backyard Sanctuary (Otis, ME)
My backyard is like a sanctuary.
Garden: Blessed with a Garden Helper
Look what I found sitting on my sunflower leaf! I smiled when I saw him there, as I ran to get my camera hoping he would still be there. When I got back he was, and he posed for this picture before he walked away in the direction of a bug.
Garden: Azalea for Mother's Day
Grandson Chris sent me this azalea, and he happened to be here when it was delivered. He was surprised, and then upset that it was red, because he had ordered the lavender one.
I saw this little one setting on a flower pot. I just had to get the camera, and get a shot of him.
Garden: Beauty by Any Name (Dandelion)
I know many will think why send a picture of that? As my mother used to say, weeds are just misplaced flowers, and just as beautiful.
Garden: Hen and Chicks Surprise
We had an early morning spring shower that left the Hen and Chicks with droplets of water. When the sun hit them, they shimmered like diamonds.
Garden: A Slaty Skimmer Female Dragonfly
I love walking in my garden with my camera. Resting on my day lily, was this beautiful dragonfly. Anyone else besides me like dragonflies? She stayed for awhile, and let me take quite a few pictures before she flew away.
Garden: First Morning Glory of the Year
I went outside with my camera like I do every morning to see what I can catch. It was a special day! The first morning glory of the season was open and happy. It was shining like the sun!

Scenery: Crocus In Snow (Oregon)
We had a late snowstorm last week. We didn't get a ton of snow but it was enough to cancel school for the kids. My husband took some photos in the morning. I thought this one turned out particularly well.
I was driving my boys to school this morning and saw these gorgeous dahlias in a neighbors yard. My wife and her sisters love dahlias so I stopped and took these photos for them.
