| Removing The Texture From A Ceiling
Back in the fifties and sixties it was really popular to put a texture on ceilings called a popcorn ceiling. One of the remodeling shows I am a big fan of, gave instructions on how to remove this bumpy, ugly, hard to patch popcorn ceiling.

| Patchwork Back Porch
My small back porch is somewhat of a relaxing/storage space that leads to my patio and also to my basement. I want it to look welcoming. On the left is a seat cover my G-Ma made me back in the 70's to fit a vanity seat.

| Recovering Outdoor Cushions
My outdoor chair cushions were sunfaded and stained but other than that were very usable. I made removable, washable slip covers for them from matching curtain fabric and a sofa throw that had been tucked in a cupboard for years and almost forgotten.

| "Tin" Kitchen Backsplash
We had cupboards added on and a new countertop but the old backsplash had been tiled and we couldn't match them up. I put up the paintable wallpaper primed and painted it with silver metallic paint and then several coats of varathane.
