This little critter came into our lives as an orphan. He lives outside but comes in at will. He sure keeps us busy, as he gets into everything. This picture surely expresses that he is a happy raccoon.
Last winter and the morning brought 6 inches of snow for us in East Texas. Sassy Jazz is 21 and Call Me Patches is 29. We have lived in ETX for 17 years, and this was only the second time that we had had any snow, much less 6 inches.
East'a Bunny (AKA Hoss) is 2 years old. A co-worker gave him to me right before Easter, as an Easter present. My bunny has a small white stuffed bunny that he licks and snuggles with.
Tookie Bird (Sulphur-Crested - Umbrella Cockatoo)
TBird (Tookie Bird) is 26 years old. He is 1/2 Sulphur-Crested and 1/2 Umbrella Cockatoo. He was given to us 6 years ago, when the owner could no longer take care of him.
Sweet Pea is a 1 year old White Quail. She was the only one who hatched out of 12 eggs. She likes to chirp. We know she's a she because she started laying eggs!
Sambo is a 10 year old iguana. I got Sambo for my 50th birthday. He was only 8 inches long. Now Sambo is 5 foot 7 inches and 14 pounds. He is trained to GO outside, loves to be rocked, and is hand fed. He likes to sit in the sun all day.
We just got a Great Dane Pup. He is growing quite quickly, and we need to keep his food and water elevated to help with digestion. Those dog bowl holder are quite expensive.
Snickers (Japanese Silkie Chicken)
Snickers is a 3 year old Japanese Silkie Chicken. I used to raise them until 2 years ago, when I had to move to the city. He loves to cuddle on my lap especially while I am crocheting.
I happened to look out my kitchen window yesterday, and saw this beautiful cardinal sitting there posing for me!

Wildlife: Goslings (Baby Geese)
My children and I saw these goslings by the river yesterday afternoon. I couldn't get an exact count, but there were about 25-30 of them. You could tell they were used to people being around, because they didn't run away while we were there.

We have a small farm and raise pigs, rabbits, goats, and have dogs, a snake, and a turtle. Piglet likes to chase and play with the other pigs. She also loves when the kids go in her pin and play "tag".
Ben, Henry and Tammy Faye (Turkeys)
Ben, Henry and Tammy Faye Turkey all hatched in Spring '09. They are Bourbon Reds. I purchased them for pets. They like to stand on the pickup hood and look at themselves in the windshield. Sure does scratch the paint though.
In Memory Of Dusty (Chinchilla)
Dusty was 7 years old. She died last week from a common chinchilla disease. She was a Standard Chinchilla. My son and my husband were at home together due to a school snow day about 7 years ago. To my surprise, Dusty joined our family that day.
