| Rent a Cottage for a Summer Vacation
|
 For my family's summer vacation, we rented a cottage for a week and truly enjoyed the solitude. Who could ask for better than getting up to fresh coffee while enjoying the sounds of birds singing and the site of a beautiful lake off the balcony.

| Color Snowmen
|
 Did you know you could color your snowmen? Mix food color in a spray bottle with cold water. Just enough so it shows the color. Spray the snowman after he's been built and "wha-la", you have a beautiful colored snowman like none other in the neighborhood. Kids will love this idea!

| Donkey Ride On The Beach
|
 Instead of taking the kids to the funfair on holiday, spend time on the beach with them. A little tent is ideal for putting up and stowing all kinds of things. A donkey ride is just as much fun as many of the kids rides - and a lot cheaper and greener too.

 Here my niece was showing the younger children that you can have a good time at the beach without having to spend money on the walk or in the arcades. Just have an sand art contest. This is an image she made of herself.

| Dale Hollow Lake (Southern Ky/Tenn)
|
 Our family's recent trip to Beautiful Dale Hollow Lake (Southern Ky/Tenn). This picture highlghts the FUN we had just spending 4 days on the water. It was so relaxing and just wonderful to be able to bond. On this trip were Grandpa (age 73), Grandma, Mom, Dad and DH's age 14 and 8. What a blessing to be able to share this special time together.
