I received hollyhock seeds. Should I plant them now or wait till spring?

Planting Holly Hock Seeds

My Mom lives in Texas and plants her Hollyhock seeds in the fall as does my Mom-in-law in Missouri. Each year, they should come back from the seeds that drop in the fall from the plants.
