I read the reviews of this spray on Amazon. While it got excellent reviews, a plumber posted that continual use of this product will clog up the toilet because of the oil content. You have to choose the lesser of the two evils, an offensive odor or a plumbing disaster.

I was thinking about the plumber's cautionary statement, and it seems to me that these oils, being natural and/or organic, are probably biodegradable and would not clog up the toilet or the sewage pipes. There's only a tiny amount of oil in each spritz, and it's all being flushed away.

As for air freshener, use only potpourri or natural ones, as the commercial ones are full of toxic chemicals. Some even create a very fine mist of oil, and you don't want to be breathing that! They are especially dangerous for children, pets, the elderly and anyone with respiratory problems.
