Popcorn Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 medium egg (beaten)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • regular sized marshmallows

Directions

Add all of the above ingredients in the top section of a double boiler and heat until marshmallows are melted. Make sure you continuously stir the mixture. Turn burner to low after the marshmallows are melted and while the popcorn continues to pop.

Pop about 1/3 of a cup of popcorn in an air popper or on the stove top. Seperate the unpopped kernels, putting the popped kernels into a large bowl. Use some pot holders to pick up the liquid mixture to pour over the popped corn.

Let the popcorn and liquid mixture cool a bit so you don't burn yourself, then make into balls using your hands. If you rinse your hands after each ball, it helps keep your hands from sticking to the popcorn ball.

This makes about six 2"-3" diameter popcorn balls. (12/09/2008)
