The hubby spilled the purple plumber's glue on the new linoleum. I have tried everything to get it up, and nothing is working. I am to the point of cutting it out. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

It's unfortunate that the purple dye was ever added to pvc cleaner. Some brilliant educated idiot decided that the dye should be required so the codes inspector can tell that you used the cleaning solvent on welded pvc joints. How ridiculous is this? The pressure test/ water test will tell you if you have a leak, so why does codes need to worry about the type, color, or even if you've used primer? In addition, codes inspectors qualify as such by passing a civil service exam. Most are failed or incompetent tradesmen, or green from school with no experience in the trenches! When I buy cpvc or pvc primmer, I hunt for clear, (but it's not easy to find!) One thing for certain; if you use purple primer in any finished area, chances are pretty high that purple dots will become part of the permanent finish!
Purples and reds are the hardest colors to remove. You may have to cut that piece out.
