Oatmeal Banana Macaroons

This unique twist on a macaroon is reminiscent of banana bread. It is the perfect treat to make fro Christmas.

Ingredients:

• 1/2 c. white sugar
• 1/2 c. brown sugar
• 1/2 c. melted shortening
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 c. coconut
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 banana (mashed)
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda

• 1 c. flour
• 2 c. rolled oats

Directions:

Combine in order given. Drop on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies
