Working With Creditors
How do you deal with your creditors when you can't pay the full amount, if you have lost your job etc.? I try to explain, but most want money no matter what? I did get one card closed and a low payment plan, but only one would do this for me.

Debt Reduction Companies in Iowa
I am wondering if anyone who lives in Iowa can recommend a good company for debt reduction, etc. What I am looking for is the type of company that takes credit card debt and other unsecured type debts and gets payments and interest lowered for its customers.

Paying Off Debt With My Retirement
I need advice on paying off debt. I thought that I might use some of my retirement that has built up to pay off some of the high interest bills I have. I am 30 and my husband is 26. I know it's not the best idea to do that, but I'm not sure why. Since we're still young, maybe we can still build it all back up?

Refinancing My House
I have a pretty substantial credit card debt with high interest rates. I have some equity in my house but not a lot of income. Does anyone have an advice for getting a better rate on my credit card debt? I have thought about rolling my debt into my house payment but it is a little scary. I have heard horror stories about last minute charges, hidden costs, etc with refinancing. At any rate, this seemed like a good place to post this request. Janet
