Peanut Butter Frosting
Easy to make and tastes great! My mother was a very young bride at the end of the Great Depression. She learned to make do with less. This frosting can be used between 2 graham crackers to make easy and fast cookies or to frost a cake.

Cream Cheese Icing or Filling
Quick and healthy. This is the best icing ever! Slightly warm cream cheese in microwave (or leave out about an hour or so or until it's room temp). Add vanilla then slowly stir in honey to taste.

Recipe for Cooked Frosting
I used to have a recipe for cooked frosting. The base of flour and milk was cooked to a thick paste. As this cooled, equal parts of butter and shortening along with some sugar, a bit of vanilla, and a dash of salt was whipped until light and fluffy. Then the cooled paste was folded in. It was terrific because it was not too sweet, could be used to decorate cakes, and was very smooth. Thank you!
