Oh So Good Gum Drop Cookies
Cream sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Shift flour, salt, and soda together spoon into the creamed mixture and mix well. Add the cut up gum drops and chopped nuts.

Dipped Cherry Cookies
Something different for Christmas treat. In a large bowl, combine flour and 1/2 cup sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Knead in the cherries, 2/3 cup white chocolate and extract until dough forms a ball.

Holiday Fudge Bars
Mix the graham crackers, baking powder, salt, condensed milk, nuts and chocolate chips together. Spread on a greased 9x9 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Remove the fudge from the oven and while it is still warm, take out small amounts of it and roll it into balls.

Perfect Cookie Icing
In a small bowl, blend powdered sugar with milk. Add corn syrup and blend until perfectly smooth. Add desired liquid or paste food coloring and blend.

Real Dutch Butter Cookies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix sugar, butter and egg. Add vanilla or lemon rind and sift self-rising flour into the batter. Mix well and chill dough for at least one hour in the refrigerator. Roll out on a well-floured board and cut with various cookie cutter, about 1/4 inch thick.

Classic Shortening Bread
In a large bowl, beat butter until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar. Gradually beat in flour.

Oreo Bon Bons and Butterfinger Cookies
Neither of these are my own recipe but I wanted to share them with you all. I think they would be great as Christmas treats for family.

Chocolate Buttersweets
Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, salt and vanilla and cream well. Blend in flour. Shape by tsp. into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Cream cream cheese and butter together thoroughly. Add sugar and beat well. Add flour and mix until well blended. Add vanilla and lemon juice.
