Hamburg/Sausage Potato Stuffing
Had an uncle who made the most delicious potato meat stuffing for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or just when he wanted it. He has gone and so did the stuffing as he made it from scratch out of his head. No record of it was ever found.
Making Videos of Family Recipes
This is a guide about making videos of family recipes. Videos have much more information and personality than a written recipe. Take time now to capture your parents, grandparents or other family members on video making your favorite recipes.
Good, simple, kid-friendly recipe!
Homemade corn dogs are the best. You can use your kids favorite brand of dogs or even use cooked sausage of choice. What is even better, is that you can vary the recipe.
This is a frugal and super quick and easy recipe for Spanish rice, like restaurants serve alongside Mexican food.

Mashed Potato and Ground Meat Turkey Stuffing Recipe
I am looking for a family recipe an uncle made for the holiday turkey. It's stuffing made with mashed potatoes, onions, hamburger, and I believe sausage also, and poultry seasoning. It was one of our all time favorites, but I lost my copy and Uncle Ed is long past.
Grandma's Tried and True Recipes
To me, recipes from the 50's, 60's and 70's are best, just like Grandma use to make. Nothing fancy, just great tasting.
These "Turtle Burgers" are just so very cute, creative, and fun that they definitely need to be shared with my entire ThriftyFun family and not just the recipe lovers! A little crispy and not too crunchy; just how a turtle should be.
Cook hot dogs; slice long ways, mayonnaise the bread, lay the hot dogs on bread. Top with chili, onions and cheese. Then put in the oven and broil until cheese is melted.
Recipes From The "I Hate to Cook" Cookbook
The I HATE TO COOK book! Imagine seeing a title like that! I found this little book, published in 1960, and was curious with what kind of recipes it would have from 50 years ago, a time I thought all women loved to cook! It's really a book about "quick" dishes or meals.
Brown turkey with onion and green pepper in large saucepan, stirring until crumbly. Add garlic powder; drain. Combine turkey mixture and remaining ingredients in kettle; mix well.
Wash off the chicken pieces, shaking off the water but not drying thoroughly and place in a large bowl. Cover the pieces heavily with all 4 seasonings. With your hands, and with the chicken still in the bowl, rub the seasonings into the pieces.
A quick lunch for kids. I use flour tortillas or the hot dog "boats" that are a roll with an open top, not 2 halves.
I always cook extra when making taco flavored meat and freeze the extra in meal sized portions.
No matter what I do, I just can not make crispy fried chicken. It is very good, but it is not crispy. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Grandkids gobble them up and don't complain that they want something else. Cut each hot dog in 1/2. Slice each hot dog in 1/2 again long wise leaving a small bulb at the top (this is the head)
I thought to share this recipe that has been used in our family for many years. My Nan made it during the war years and I recently got the recipe from my mom to share with everyone. It's been used as a tonic and an aid to digestion by many a generation in our family.
This is a kid friendly casserole. My kids always preferred that I leave out onion.
I couldn't make them fast enough for my kids and their friends! Poke holes into the franks using a regular table fork, 2 to 3 times is fine. Pour ROOM TEMPERATURE Classic Coca-Cola into boiler.
When the family sits down to a favorite recipe, there's a special love there. When the recipe belongs to a departed Grandparent, the love multiplies.
Combine turkey and potatoes with sauce and pour into a deep oven-proof casserole. Season to taste. Make up a recipe of noodles *(egg noodles or eggless noodles) and arrange over a turkey mixture, making sure noodles do not overlap.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion for 2 minutes. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
