Chicken Breyani with Pineapple

Spicy breyani and the pineapple gives a lovely taste. Boil rice with saffron, dhall and lentils separately and drain and set aside. Marinate chicken with ginger and garlic paste, chill powder, tomato and yogurt for 1/2 an hour.

Paani Puri

This is a simple recipe. Sieve flour in a bowl and add water to make a stiff dough. Knead smooth and rub a little ghee in your palm of your hand. Knead till its evenly textured.

Masala Puri

Can be eaten with butter, curry, or rice. Mix all the ingredients together except the oil. Add 8 Tbsp. of water, mix into a dough. Cover and leave aside for 1/2 an hour.

Curry Lamb Ragout

Cut meat into 1-inch cubes. Heat oil in heavy saucepan or Dutch oven. Add meat, sage, and lemon rind; brown meat on all sides. Add onion; saute lightly. Drain off excess oil, and stir in bouillon.

Southern Indian Macaroni and Cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cook macaroni and cheese according to directions. Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine bread crumbs, and paprika; set aside. In another bowl stir together salt, garam masala, black pepper, cayenne, and turmeric; set aside.

Mixed Vegetable Raita

Raita is a yogurt based Indian dish. Beat the yogurt in a bowl. Add all the remaining ingredients, seasoning well with salt and pepper. Chill before serving. About 1 hour.

Easy Indian Food Recipes

I'd like to prepare Indian foods, but I haven't any easy recipes. The ones I've found online have too many ingredients to be frugal or practical for us. I did get a packet of seasonings, Chip Shop Curry at Publix. I put it in the Crock pot with chicken pieces and mushrooms. I cooked it for four hours and served it over rice and it was very good.

Chicken Lagaan

Mix all of the above together. Beat together 3 eggs and half a cup milk and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Add to dry ingredients.
