This is a very easy way to get the good flavor of Chinese food without paying the high price. It cooks up fast and can be ready in about the same length of time you'd have to wait for Chinese Take-Out or Delivery.
Nice Oriental flavor to this steak.
Cut steak into serving size pieces. Mix eggs and milk in shallow bowl. Dip steak into egg mixture, then into cracker crumbs. Brown slowly in shortening in skillet.
A favorite recipe of mine from the early 70's. It was in a magazine as an ad for rice! "You can have a good meal for two, or a Great meal for 6 from one round steak". I have found that it works for chicken, pork chops, and any beef cut.
Cut steak into small pieces. Cook until done. Pour soups and mushrooms in. Stir until heated well. Serve over rice or noodles.
Trim off excess fat from steaks and slash edges to prevent curling. Wipe dry with paper toweling and set aside. In large skillet, combine oil, margarine, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Combine all ingredients except the steak and mix well. Marinate the steak in the refrigerator at least 5 hours, turning several times. Grill approximately 4-5 minutes for each side for serving rare.
Weight Watchers Japanese Flank Steak Recipe
I am looking for a Weight Watchers recipe for marinated flank steak. It was in recipe book from the late 60's or early 70's. I think it was called Japanese Flank Steak. I believe it used ginger as one of the ingredients.
Easy Peazy! I like it served over a bed of egg noodles. Place meat in slow cooker, toss with steak sauce, top with onions, celery, bell pepper, and tomatoes, cover with lid and cook on low for 9 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
Cut steak into bite-size pieces. Combine next 6 ingredients in bowl; mix well. Add steak. Marinate for 3-4 hours, turning occasionally. Preheat grill. Grill over hot coals until done, basting often with marinade.
Stir the gravy, orange zest, orange juice, and garlic powder in a 1-quart saucepan. Heat the broiler. Place the beef on a rack in a broiler pan.
Mix all steak ingredients together. Shape into patties. Place in 9x13 inch pan. Heat sauce ingredients until butter melts. Pour over meat and cover. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Trim excess fat from steak. Cut steak into 4 pieces. Pound to 1/4 inch thickness. Brown steak in butter in skillet. Place in lightly greased shallow 2 qt. casserole.
The marinating time for these steaks is worth it because they are so tender you can almost cut them with a fork! And don't forget a loaded baker to accompany on the side.
Pound steak, spread with butter, sprinkle with herbs. Roll as jelly roll, tie with string. Brown in hot fat. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, salt, pepper, chili powder and garlic. Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hr. or until meat is tender and sauce is thick.
Cook rice until tender; drain. Cut round steak into strips, then diagonally into bite-size pieces. Cook in a small amount of grease in an electric skillet, stirring occasionally. Add onion and green pepper.
My husband loved this. Soak deer cubed steak in vinegar and water mixture for about 1 hour. Slice onion and put in the bottom of crock pot. Drain water off cubed steak and brown lightly in a skillet.
