Beef Spinach Salad
Combine 1/2 cup dressing, soy sauce and sugar with cooled rice mixture. Blend well. Add roast beef and remaining dressing. Refrigerate 1-2 hours. Add spinach, zucchini, celery and seeds just before serving.

Crunchy Barley Salad
Combine the first 7 ingredients. In a bowl, combine the Italian dressing mix, sugar, oil and vinegar. Mix very well; pour over first 7 ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Chill several hours or overnight.

Orange Sherbert Salad
Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Add sherbet and mix well. Let stand until mixture is of the consistency of egg white. Add fruit. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan and chill until firm. Serves 10-12.

Avocado and Bean Salad
Toss beans, onion and avocados. Shake remaining ingredients in tightly covered jar. Pour dressing over salad; toss. Refrigerate, covered, at least 3 hours. Just before serving, toss and drain.

Tomato Vinaigrette
This is a great way to use up extra cherry tomatoes. Combine cherry tomatoes, vinegar, garlic and Dijon mustard in a food processor and process until well blended.

Recipe for Orange Jello Carrot Salad
Way back in the 50s my mother made a salad with orange jello and grated carrots and maybe some kind of fruit, possibly crushed pineapple. Does anyone remember this concoction? Have a recipe? There may have been other things in it. Thanks.

German Bologna Salad
Cut the bologna into small strips. Cut the cucumbers, onions, apples, tomatoes and carrots also into strips and mix with bologna. Cut the eggs into eights (save some for garnish).

Grandma's Salad
Mix first 5 ingredients together and chill well. Mix last 4 ingredients together and chill well. Crumple pieces of foil in bottom of salad bowl so dressing can drain. Line bowl with lettuce leaves and add salad.
