Football Stew
Put stew beef in bottom of Dutch oven. Add onion, carrots, and celery. On top spread potatoes. Mix sugar, salt and tapioca. Sprinkle on top, then pour tomato juice over all.

Autumn Fish Stew
Remove frozen fillet from freezer. Let stand at room temperature to thaw slightly. Meanwhile, in a 4 qt. soup kettle over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook onion until tender.

Texas Corn Stew
We are from New Orleans, but grew up in Houston. In New Orleans they make Macue Choux with shrimp. We couldn't afford shrimp, so since we were in Texas, Mom used hot dogs and renamed it Texas Corn Stew.
