Use Foam Swimming Noodles as Bumpers
A friend of ours made "bumpers" for a rowboat he had newly painted by cutting up a foam swimming noodle and stringing a pair on some nylon rope.

Keeping Spiders Out of a Boat
I am just wondering if there is way to keep spiders out of my boat? I don't want to use chemicals because of worry with human and pet contact.

Boat Friendly Recipes
Boat Friendly Recipes. I frequently have guests over for extended (3-4 hour) boating "parties". Anyone have any suggestions for boat friendly recipes for heavy hors d'oeuvres I could take along?

Saving Money on Boating Supplies
Boating doesn't have to be a pricey business. You don't have to go to the high-priced marine stores for most of your needs. My husband gets everything at the regular hardware store when he can - it's cheaper.

Save Money on Boat Curtains
You can even save dollars on boating - In a well known marine store I saw boat curtains for $22 for a panel. We used bargain valance ruffles from the dollar store and instead of $100+ for curtains, we got easily installed ones that are perfectly good for $5!

Hanging Paper Towels on a Boat, Camper or RV
On our boat we use a stretchy "bungee" cord to hang up our paper towel roll (you put the cord through the roll). You could do the same in your camper or RV - or anywhere else, for that matter!

Kayaking Tips
We just purchased a couple of used kayaks. Does anyone have any kayaking tips? They are sea kayaks, they will be used in lakes and in the Puget Sound (near Seattle).
