Removing Glue Burned Onto Bottom of Skillet?

I purchased a new set of non stick skillets and didn't know a piece of paper was attached to the bottom. I have an electric stove and was using the skillet when I saw something was burning. It was the paper attached to the bottom of the skillet. Now the glue is still on the bottom and I can't get it off. Please help me so I can use this new skillet. I tried elbow grease and a Brillo pad, but I don't want to scrub the paint off. Any and all help would be most appreciated.

You may still be able to use it. It may need to burn itself off.
