Removing Paint Stains from Dried Clothing

My children got some paint on their clothing at Vacation Bible School. One was 95% cotton and 5% spandex. The other is 100% cotton. I don't know what kind of paint it is. The paint did come off easily when they washed their hands. I have already washed and dried both of them. Any suggestions?

I just removed a tan paint stain from my husband's red shirt with nothing but hairspray. It worked great. Just sprayed and rubbed, then washed. Thanks for the tip. (10/12/2009)

Here's some suggestions, depending on what type of paint is on the clothing, latex, water based, oil, or acrylic.
