Alcohol or denatured alcohol should do it.

I haven't tried it myself, but read recently that if you go over permanent marker with dry erase marker, then rub it off with the dry erase brush both marks will be removed. Good luck.

Just a suggestion try clean the marks off from the inside. Tin should be thin enough for the derutent hot water wax.

I looked her for advice to remove Sharpie pen on a beautiful metal flask. I tied Comet and a wet rag. Bam! Came off so easily! Thanks for the suggestion!

If you draw over the sharpie with a dry erase marker it should wipe off.

You can draw over it with a dry erase marker and use a rag to wipe off.

I do the dry erase marker trick, too but sometimes when there's some left over, I will use wd-40 and a soft cloth

To remove sharpie from metal,you'd have to keep scrubbing soap and water on the sharpie mark until the mark fades away.I hoped this worked!!!

Oust air freshener will bring it off non-porous surfaces. My toddler covered the floors and coffee table with a sharpie.

Try a white cotton rag dipped in rubbing alcohol to buff it out.

I would use nail polish remover because it works great to remove sharpies for all kinds of surfaces.

I found that using tooth paste and a tooth brush made it fade and then I rubbed an eraser over it and it faded a lot more
