Removing Tar Like Stains on Glass Doors?

There was some tar-like spray on my glass patio doors, after the builders departed. I managed to remove the tar spray, but there are multiple residue stains left behind on the glass. How to I get rid of them? I hoped that they would fade, but this is not the case.
