My children were given temporary Christmas tattoos at a festival. I can't get the tattoos washed off their faces! I've tried soap and water, makeup remover, hydrogen peroxide, and canola oil.
Try rubbing alcohol. (12/15/2006)
Try rubbing baby oil on it. That may work. If not, Huggies baby wipes have worked for me in the past... my 5 year old likes tattoos, and they take it off, you just have to work at it a little bit! (12/15/2006)
Rubbing alcohol sometimes works. I've never tried it but I think nail polish remover might help. (12/15/2006)
We used to take a little bit of baby oil to remove them from our kids.(12/15/2006)
Try hair dye remover. (12/18/2006)
I use rubbing alcohol on my kids and it always works (12/18/2006)
Waterproof sunscreen lotion will remove them every time! (04/28/2007)
I was looking here for help. I have tried everything. The tattoo disappeared with just a little dab of fingernail polish remover! (09/23/2007)
I used milky make up remover ...worked very well. (11/05/2007)
Nail polish remover works great. (03/18/2008)
Get a pumice block like that used to smooth elbows and heels. (Dr. Scholls or similar.) Scrub very gently (children's skin is more fragile than adult's;) using the block and some cold cream or Noxzema. Keep the pumice particles out of little eyes. The same caution goes for nail polish remover if it is tried. (10/23/2008)

Baby on a towel... the temp tatoo comes right off! (12/07/2008)
Use mouthwash with peroxide and wipe it off.
Olive oil on a paper towel rubbed on the tattoo works great and doesn't irritate the child's skin. (01/25/2009)
We tried olive oil, baby oil, and baby wipes; nothing worked.
The best suggestion... scotch tape! Worked in one second. Amazing! (02/27/2009)
My Granddaughter needed her temporary tattoo removed for a dance recital and I tried most of the suggestions with no success. In desperation I used Goo Be Gone. The tattoo came off instantly. (06/17/2009)
The scotch tape worked a treat! Thanks heaps :-) (10/31/2009)
