Dawn dishwasher liquid and hot, hot water. Put clothes into washer and when the water shuts off, add a little Dawn at a time and run the washer until you have a thin layer of soap. Allow the washer to run a bit to work the soapy water through the clothes, stop the washer and let them soak 10-15 minutes and then restart. It may take a couple of times to get the transmission fluid and the Dawn itself out. Adding a half cup of vinegar will help cut the soap. Be careful in adding the Dawn as it suds like crazy.

I did the dawn treatment twice, but also added OXI CLEAN Versatlie with Odor Blaster. Pretty happy with the results!
