Removing Urine Odor from Couch?

My elderly mother peed on my couch. Is there anything I could do to get the pee smell out of the cushions?

Baking soda. Fine, how? How much? Do you just sprinkle it on the couch? Do you soak it? Do you wet it? What? How? Please? My elderly mother peed all over the couch, through her diapers and pull ups! The smell is so strong! Please help me step by step please. It's a new brown suede couch . It's awful

I, too, was caregiver for my elderly mother. The only thing that I found would totally get the smell out (feces as well) was white vinegar and a total wet vac clean. This works especially well with cat/dog and on laundry items as well.
