Removing Wax From a Boat?

Photo of a white fiberglass boat.I waxed my boat, had to leave for a week and now am having a hard time getting the wax off. I used an orbital polisher but that just seems to make it harder. Water makes it gummy and adding fresh wax does too. Elbow greases is working at about an inch per hour. Please advise, thanks.

Don't know for sure, but do you think ammonia would work? Without harming the boat's finish? I know it works to remove old floor wax...just an idea, not tried & true in your application.

Ive heard floor stripper works, but test it in a small area first to make sure no further damage occurs.
