| Dryer Not Getting Hot
I just replaced the heating element in my dryer but it still won't heat (drum rotates, just no heat). Any ideas what could be wrong?

| Dryer Isn't Drying Clothes
My dryer is taking three times as long to dry my clothes as it used to. It still gets very warm (though not hot), so I don't see how it can be the heating element. My husband has cleaned out the vent, from the outside to the inside, to no avail. I have cleaned the lint trap.

| Do Old Kenmore Dryers Have a Circuit Breaker?
My late 80's Kenmore Dryer worked one day, then just stopped the next. It won't turn, it won't heat, nothing happens! It's as if it came unplugged suddenly, but it didn't. Is there a circuit breaker in there somewhere like blow-dryers have in case they get too hot?

| My Clothes Dryer Door Won't Stay Shut

I have a gas front loading clothes dryer, and the door or latch is not keeping the dryer closed. it will go fine awhile, then I suspect clothes bump into it and pop it open.

| Electrical Problems With My Dryer
I am hoping someone out there can help me. I am desperate for some good electrical advice. About 2 1/2 months ago my dryer stopped working. I assumed the dryer motor went bad because when you pushed the button for it to start it just hummed at you. After verifying that the belt was still good we disposed of the dryer.

| Longer Life For Dryer's Heating Element
To give your dryer's heating element longer life, take out the lint catcher and clean with dish washing liquid and a scubbing brush. Fabric softner & dryer sheets put a flim on the lint catcher that you cannot see that blocks air from flowing through it. If you don't believe me, before cleaning it, run the lint catcher under water and watch to see if it runs through the screen on not! It's best to clean the screen every couple of months to save your heating element!
