My Frigidaire dishwasher just stopped working properly. It flashes a CL code and didn't finish its cycle. The CL code means that the door is not closed, but the door is closed. What can I do to easily fix this?
I have a General Electric Permatuf dishwasher and the water will not drain out. My line going to my garbage disposal is not plugged, nor my sink lines under the sink. The line going from my dishwasher to the garbage may be plugged, but I don't have any way of knowing.

I know there is something that is stuck in the bottom of our dishwasher. I can hear it "crunching" when the dishwasher get to a certain point in the cycle. I had an appliance man here but because it wasn't making the noise at the time.
We bought an older home with a new dishwasher and disposal. We are constantly having problems with the system. Using the disposal for anything causes debris to come up in the other side of the sink and we also have water that backs up into the bottom of the dishwasher, I assume from the disposal.
My Kenmore dishwasher is about 8yrs old and all of a sudden it doesn't seem to do the wash cycle. It fills, makes some noise and then drains out. It had been cleaning poorly for a while prior to this. I am probably going to take it apart, just hoping for some idea on what to look for.
