Adjusting Timing on Sewing Machine
Can someone tell me how to adjust the timing of a Singer sewing machine. It keeps breaking needles. I took it to a repair shop and they told me the timing was off and it would cost $65.00 to clean and adjust it.

Sewing Machine Needle Not Catching Bobbin Thread
While sewing, I jammed some fine fabric in the bobbin trace. Instead of taking it apart, as I should have done, I gently pulled and pulled until it came out. However, now the bobbin thread will not be picked up by the needle and brought to the surface. Any ideas on how I can resolve this problem without taking my sewing machine to a repairman? Please help!

Trouble With A Sewing Machine
I was trying to fix a sluggish and squeaky sewing machine. I somehow managed to make it worse. The problem is the big wheel on the right hand side doesn't catch and therefore will spin and not move the "works" up and down like it is supposed to. The belt is on and I have cleaned and oiled every moving part I can find. Any ideas? It is a Simplicity Classic.
