Scratch Resistant Coating Peeling Off Lenses
My glasses have the scratch resistant coating on them which has slowly been peeling, along the outer edges of the lenses, kind of like a double ring outline, and along the center of the right lens.

Use Bandaids For Emergency Eyeglass Repair
If you ever have to tape eyeglasses of any other small item temporarily, instead of scotch tape or even electrical tape, cut off the sticky portion of a band-aid and use that instead.

Removing Anti-Reflective Coating from Glasses
The anti-reflective coating on my prescription glasses is so scratched I can hardly see out of them. Occulist won't remove it and wants to charge me for new lenses! Any suggestions as to how I can remove the coating myself?

Repairing Scratched Eyeglasses
I just read here that Armor Etch will remove scratches on eye wear. I have just a plain pair of glasses (no anti-glare coating). But they do have transition lenses. Will Armor Etch work on these scratches, or is it just for lenses that have the anti-glare coating?

Repairing Scratched Sunglass Frames
Does anyone know how to get scratches out of sunglass frames? Not the lenses but frames. I accidentally left them on top of my car and drove off. I'm having the lenses replaced but the frames got kind of scratched up. They are my favorite pair of sunglasses and not to mention they were expensive so I want to try to salvage them. Thanks.

Tightening Eyeglasses
How can I tighten my eyeglasses? They keep sliding down my nose and I have to keep going to the Optical Center to get them tightened up. Is there a kit or something similar I can buy to do this?

Adjusting Your Own Eyewear
You can make minor adjustments to your eyewear yourself. Glasses, sunglasses and even sunglass clips can be gently tweaked to get them to both fit better generally and also to get them back into alignment. Take off your glasses and see how the ear pieces are lined up. You can then very gently twist the pieces to better fit your face. This works best with sturdy frames, or plastic ones with wires in them to facilitate fitting. Be very careful!
