Reusing Plastic Soda Bottles Instead of Buying Ice

When we purchase soda in the small plastic bottles, 16 or 22 ounce size we always keep the bottles and wash them out. If we go fishing or take a small road trip to my mother in laws house that is 4 hours away we always freeze two of the larger ones and put water in the smaller ones and fill a small cooler with them. Our water is great and it keeps us from spending too much on extra soda. We are trying to drink more water.

Also, when we purchase soda in the 2 litre bottles we keep a few of them to freeze and put into the bottom of our big cooler for when we go camping. No money spent for ice to keep things cold. And no mess.
