Riding Mower Dies When Brake Released?

June 19, 2018

I have a 2013 48" cut Husqvarna riding mower. It will start up and run all day in park. As soon as I release the brake, it dies.

I have had the voltage regulator checked and it's good. I also checked the kill switch for the brake. Ideas?

Check the carburetor. Here is a helpful troubleshooting article: homeguides.sfgate.com/riding-lawn-mower-cuts-off-clutchbrake...

I have a Scotts L2048. The engine dies. I replaced the ignition switch and seat interlock. The engine will run as long as I have the brake depressed. When I release the brake the engine dies. I tested the brake switch and it functions correctly. I also tested the relay and it functions correctly. I cleaned all connections.
