I need a new roof and I am very low income. My roof is in total disrepair. I have huge ice dams because of this. I am a single mother with three kids.

Actually the fact that you are a single mother with three kids has nothing to do with your problem. You chose that life. When I got divorced in 1983 we chose to sell the house and split the profit. I opted to move into a rented apartment because I wouldn't have to worry about yard work, snow removal, and repairs. It is really nice to call management when something needs to be repaired. Maybe you should sell your house as is and move into a rental. IF you have a pastor talk to him/her. Sometimes they will take up a special offering for a member of the CONGREGATION. There might even be people in the congregation that can help with the repair and maybe even some that can donate some of the materials that are necessary. When the first repair was needed you should have had it taken care of right away. When you do that you have a chance of keeping up with repairs.
