Room Addition Help for Low Income Family?

It is no longer safe for my aged ill mother to live alone. I am going to bring her home with me, but I need extra space for her to live with me comfortably. She is on SSI and I receive disability. Would you please give me some info on how I can receive help?

I haven't heard of anyplace that helps build on extra rooms.

I believe it will be very difficult to get help building/adding a room as that is a very expensive item.

You may have to rearrange your present living quarters to accommodate your mother. It seems that making this move will save a lot of money - removing the cost of living for your mother at her present location (rent/utilities/phone/extra food?).

Also this move may save you gas money for fewer visits/combine food expenses (share food stamps?), and much more if you give it a lot of thought.

Maybe with the savings on these things you could afford to make a few changes to accommodate your mother.
