Shopping On-Line - DigitalNow.TV

Has anyone ever heard of DigitalNow.TV? I got an email from DigitalNow.TV. This is a company from which supposedly you can get credit easily to purchase a plasma, LCD, or home theater system with monthly payments for 24 months or 6 months same as cash? I just want to make sure this is not a scam. They do have a phone number (888) 411-2791.

Call the Better Business Bureau and check it out, they will tell you if they have any complaints on this company. And the #1 rule of avoiding getting a virus on your computer is "never ever" open an email unless you know who it's from. (05/02/2005)

There is a great website called www.ripoffreport.com, that you can use to find out just about anything in the way of complaints against a business. It is a great place to learn if a business or product has a lot of complaints about them, and you can also file a complaint against a company. Best of all, it's free! Hope this helps a little. If you need to buy on credit try a reputable source like a bank or credit union rather than someone trying to sell you something, and compare interest rates. I would guess the interest rates will not be very competitive! If you already have the loan arranged you can shop around for the best price.

If the seller is arranging the credit you have to accept their price and their interest rate. So called 'interest free' repayments for goods usually have the interest built into the price. There's no such thing as a free lunch, (in business anyway!)

I am the person who posted the original post about DigitalNow.TV. They are a reputable company. A few days after my post I received my plasma and I am very happy with it! I would recommend this company to anyone who would like a nice LCD or plasma home theater system. You can make small monthly payments instead of forking out thousands in cash or charging it. The system I got was an LG 42" with a DVD player, home theater system, and an Xbox. This same TV is being sold at Circuit City for the same price, but you only get the TV! Check em out! (05/09/2005)

Keep in mind that they have a 19.75 % APR. finance charge, which is extremely high. (05/09/2005)

It's not thrifty, though. Not many people will be able to pay it off during the "same as cash" time frame, so they will end up paying 20% interest over the course of the loan. You are much better off saving your money. The payments are $150 to 180. Put that money in the bank for a while, in no time you will have enough money to purchase a nice entertainment system. The costs of all the newer TVs go down every year.

I wouldn't encourage people to buy a plasma TV to begin with. There are large TVs without the plasma technology that look just as good for much cheaper. Not trying to burst anyone's bubble, but any deal that has a 20% interest should be avoided. The goal of this site is helping people eliminate debt and stay out of debt. (05/09/2005)

I ordered a 42" Plasma TV from DigitalNow.tv and sent them a $300 deposit March 2005. They did not deliver and they did not return my deposit.

The refund check that DigitalNow.tv sent me for the system that their company could not deliver was returned to me for "insufficient funds". DigitalNow.tv promised to send me a cashier's check for the amount due. Now they won't answer their phones or respond to emails.

I incurred about $100 in banking fees from the cascading effect of their check being bad. First the bank charges me $30 for submitting a bad check and then $29 for each of my checks that did not clear because the money was not there. It took the bank 10 business days to figure out that the check was bad. By then I assumed the check was good.

We here at Digitalnow.tv pride ourselves in customer service. We cannot deny that we have had a small number of customers that had a less than perfect experience with our service. However, we assure you that we provide products that satisfy many customers whom also refer their family and friends. In today's world it's unfortunate that companies cannot please 100% of their customers a 100% of the time.

While they say that they pride themselves in customer service, they still have not issued me a refund or responded to my request work out a solution.

It is not about pleasing me as a customer. It is about the fact that DigitalNow.tv took my money and did not deliver the system that was agreed upon in a written contract.

Where is the theater system that you promised to deliver? Where is my money? I guess it is unfortunate that some customers cannot expect to get a product or a refund 100% of the time after they pay you their hard earned cash. It is nothing more than petty theft. DigitalNow.tv stole $300 from me. Do you want to take that chance?

Issue resolved, thanks to the Delaware Better Business Bureau. The ripoffreport.com was helpful too. DigitalNow.tv Refunded my deposit PLUS fee! It took a little while, but they do care about their business. (07/12/2005)

I know that there has not been a feedback to this post since 11/17/05, but I just had to post feedback when I read these posts. This is a scam! Do not buy anything from these people. Irene is a mole for them. I was scammed by them just as probably lots of others. Go to http://www.ripoff.com and you will see about 40 posts where people were scammed. They make it sound good and this Irene is just a part of it. If you read her posts carefully you will see she is part of the scam. This is not a real company! They are professional scam artists so be careful. I can not stress enough. Please send no money to these people no matter what they promise. (05/16/2006)

I am not a sales person I am a medical biller that lives in Sacramento, CA. I work in a small doctor's office. I am not in sales never have been. I have to say I feel sorry for those of you that didn't get what you were promised, but I did receive my 42 plasma and home theater system June 2005 after a little hassle. It took three months, but I did receive it. I received an email from Digital Now, looked into the company and posted the first blog on this site to see if anyone else had heard of them.

I had no bad replies so I went for it and obviously got lucky so get it right don't hate. I was one of the first people to get the emails and replied there are others that did get refunds so check your facts! PS I love my Plasma and Home theater System it's working just fine! (11/17/2008)
