Completed card Make a Christmas card with a row of Christmas trees against a winter background. Use Epsom salt to add some snow to the scene, and finish it off with a suitable mirror word. Make a few of these cards and you are ready to spread a message of "peace" to friends and colleagues alike.

Supplies:

9.4 x 7.4 in blue cardstock
7.4 x 4.6 in white corrugated cardstock
dark green felt
light green felt
golden mirror word - for this project, the word "Peace" was used
3 golden paper stars, cut from leftover gift wrap
21 small cerise pink flat back crystal beads
Epsom salt
Heritage Spray-on Contact Glue
Christmas tree cookie cutter
pencil
ruler
pair of standard scissors
quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)

Steps:

Score the blue cardstock in half to create a card sized 7.4 x 4.6 inches.
Place the cookie cutter onto the light green felt and trace all around it. Repeat so that you will have two trees. Cut the light green trees out.
Place the cookie cutter onto the dark green felt and trace all around it. Cut the dark green tree out.
Glue a star to the top of each tree.
Glue seven crystal beads to each tree. Tip: Use tweezers to help move the crystal beads with greater ease.

Take the white corrugated cardstock and cut out the inside, leaving a space of 0.6" from the outer edges of this piece to make a "frame."
Glue the mirror word to the bottom of the frame.
With the fold at the top, spray Heritage Spray-on Contact Glue to the bottom of the card. Sprinkle Epsom salt over the glue while it is still wet to add snow to the card.

Glue the white frame to the front of the card.

Glue the three trees to the card.
Spray the bottom of each tree with the Spray-on Contact Glue and sprinkle with Epsom salt. It will look as if the trees are standing against a snowy background.
