I need to know if Spanish moss is toxic for cats?

I am not 100% sure, but I do believe it is poisonous. I had cats a lot growing up and remember my parents clearing the moss away often. (12/27/2006)

I looked on several sites and couldn't find anything that suggested that Spanish moss is poisonous or toxic to pets. It should be just fine.
Your parents clearing away the Spanish moss is not an indicator that it is poisonous to cats.
