I really like the idea of some of the suggestions. I have no SOS pads so I used the curly metal pot cleaners from the dollar store. Norwex also makes them. I used them with rubbing alcohol. Gently rub along the grain of the wood, not against it. The dye came off instantly

It actually worked ! I just colored some extensions red and got it all over my grandmothers counter top . I used the alcohol and SOS pad and it came up instantly.

I couldn't believe my eyes! Worked w/ SOS pad like a charm!
Did not work at all for me.
I used a heavy duty scrubber (basically anything really rough even steel wool) with a mixture od baking soda and rubbing alcohol worked like a charm...
