Stuffing Mix Meatloaf

I asked my husband to pick up stuffing mix for the holidays. He came back with 4 boxes, saying they had a buy 2 get 2 free sale. I didn't have enough people over to use all 4 boxes so we had some mix left over. Ground beef seemed to go on sale, too, seeing as how poultry and ham has been more popular. Here's how to make a fabulous, juicy, seasoned meatloaf using boxed stuffing mix. This recipe can be doubled perfectly to use a whole box.

There is a recipe for meatloaf right on the Stove Top box. Been there for years. I use it this way all the time.

You can use all kinds of filler for meatloaf! I have used leftover cornbread, oats, panko crumbs, and cracker crumbs.

I always use Pepperidge Farms, for my meat loaf filler. I have thought of using the Stove Top stuffing Mix, but never have. I think I will try it, the next time I have meat loaf.

I also know this lady that uses cereal for her meat loaf.

This is an interesting concept that I have honestly never heard of, although one person stated that the recipe has been on the Stovetop box for years. I will try it. I always shred a carrot into a meatloaf and use water instead of milk, catsup or tomato sauce in the meat; the water makes it lighter. Yes, always use an egg and a filler such as oatmeal, bread crumbs or crumbled crackers. Yummy!
